Rod Piazza in Las Vegas Rod and Honey Piazza, along with The Mighty Flyers, brought their winning blues formula back once again to Boulder Station. With Rod Piazza on harp and lead vocals, Rick "L.A. Holmes" Holmstrom on guitar, Bill Stuve upright bass, Honey on keys, and drummer Steve Mugalian, it is a combination hard to beat.

Starting on a high note with "High Flying Baby", Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers took the crowd on a great two and a half hour flight. Whether it was Honey playing her boogie woogie - with the help of Steve Mugalian - on "California Boogie", Bill Stuve swinging "Shake Hands With The Blues", Rick singing "She Split", or Rod belting "If It Is, It Ain't", this band wasn't about to touch ground until all fuel was exhausted. "If It Is, It Ain't" was the set's finale as Rod took his harp solo around the room.

Besides the aforementioned "California Boogie" there is another toe tapping boogie for Steve and Honey to play. It's called "Miss Bee-Havin'" and can be found on their new CD Beyond The Source due out July 17th. One would be hard pressed to find a better blues band player for player.
